Love: What’s Type got to do with it? - Dr. Erin Currie
Saturday, June 05, 2021, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM PDT
Category: APTi Chapter Events

This program is presented by the San Diego (SANDAPT) chapter.

According to relationship experts John and Julie Gottman, as much as 69% of conflict in marriage is not resolvable, even in healthy relationships. Elements like personality differences cannot be fully resolved, in that they will always be present, even when day-to-day compromises are reached. So, should we limit ourselves to someone with the same psychological type? No. The creators of the MBTI cautioned against that, with good reason.

So what good is knowing psychological Type in committed, intimate relationships? We will look at patterns that personality and relationship researchers have found, and discuss ways to use Type to better navigate those patterns in our relationships.
